From February 19 to March 31, we invite citizens and organizations to join and take action in favor of nature and climate, whether by planting trees, attracting pollinators, speaking with schools and students, or restoring contaminated habitats.
Dozens of Representations of the Commission and EU Delegations (EU embassies) are leading by example and have scheduled actions worldwide. Will you join too?
## Why should I join?
Whether you live in the city, suburbs, or a remote rural area, there is always something you can do. And remember, big changes often start with something small! Planting a tree or greening your roof, balcony, or sidewalk is not just a symbolic act: it brings life to your doorstep. Literally.
Simple actions can help cool cities, attract pollinators, reduce stress and anxiety, or simply make your home and neighborhood more pleasant to live in. If you want to plant a tree, make sure to plant the right species, in the right place, and at the right time. Our guidelines can help you with that!
Joining the campaign is simple: take a photo of your action or tell us how you want to act for nature and climate by posting it on your favorite social networks, using the hashtag #ForOurPlanet. ## What is this all about?
#ForOurPlanet was first organized in the fall of 2022, in the context of the United Nations negotiations on climate change (COP27, Sharm El Sheikh) and the first global agreement on biodiversity (COP15, Montreal). Representations and Delegations adopted over 70 measures in just a few months, expressing widespread support for ambitious actions in those negotiations.
The world has changed since then, but taking action to address the triple crisis of climate, biodiversity, and pollution has never been more urgent. With #ForOurPlanet, the organizers invite everyone to take a small step that leads to a big change. Act, don’t just talk, and bring nature back into our lives.
